Ultimate Goldie Bounce!

Donning a spectacular Golden Swish,” the promotional Nike Black One Black ball is my ultimate fantasy ball for the perfect Goldie Bounce!” Can you imagine the joy of seeing this sexy ball hit a tree deep in the rough and bounce back onto the fairway - nestling itself into perfect position for an easy approach shot to the green for Birdie!? I’m just sayin’....

LPGA Legend Jane Blalock

I can safely say that nothin' beats golfing with a Legend! Earlier this week I attended the LPGA Golf Clinics for Women hosted by LPGA Legend's Tour Professional Jane Blalock along with many amazing LPGA certified instructors. The one day clinic, sponsored by Met Life, Fidelity, Nike Golf, Fed Ex, American Airlines and Kraft was held at the Spring Valley CC in Sharon, MA. A full field of 144 women executives of all skill levels, all there to network and brush up on their golf game, were treated to a relaxing day filled with top notch instruction. The tutelage touched upon the basics of golf such as proper gripping of the club to chipping and putting, swing analysis and rules and etiquette. The Nike tour van was on the range to provide all the ladies with Nike demo clubs, club fitting and of course Nike apparel. It was a fun filled afternoon chock full of laughter and much camaraderie and lets just say no one left hungry or empty handed! The day began with a continental breakfast and goody bags and treats awaited our arrival. A luncheon followed a 9 hole scramble and the latter part of the day consisted of instructional clinics capped off by a silent auction and cocktail hour. The LPGA Golf Clinics for Women celebrate their 20th anniversary this year and benefit the Komen for the Cure Foundation. For more information go to http://www.lpgagolfclinicsforwomen.com/

2009 New England Women's Golf Association Champ Chelsea Curtis

Chelsea Curtis, playing out of the Country Club of New Seabury, is competing in the 107th North and South Women's Amateur event at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina this week! Chelsea has some stiff competition with the likes of Marika Lendel and Candace Schepperle. The field is playing on the historic Pinehurst #2 course and Chelsea's tee time on Thursday is 8:02 am. A graduate of Georgetown, Chelsea recently won the New England Women's Golf Association Championship at the Metacomet CC in Rhode Island and plans to turn pro in the Fall - taking on the Duramed Future's tour qualifying school. Historic Centennial Win for Rob Oppenheim

Rob Oppenheim is on Fire! Seriously! This could be his year to finally attain that ever ellusive PGA Tour Card that has alluded his grasp for so long. This Spring, after garnering medalist honors at the Massachusetts Open qualifying event held at his home course, Indian Ridge in Andover, Rob took his winning streak south where he played 3 Moonlight Tour events, posting 2 first and 1 second place finish before heading back to his stomping grounds to take his rightful place in Massachusetts golf history along with the likes of Francis Ouimet - as one of only 6 golfers in the history of this 100 year event to have won both the Massachusetts Amateur and Massachusetts Open titles. Not one to rest on his laurels for long, Rob then traveled to Portland Maine to compete in the Maine State Open where he finished 3 strokes behind last years Massachusetts Open champ Jim Renner to tie for second place along with John "Boom Boom" Elliot. No rest for the weary for from Maine it was back to Orlando to play in another Moonlight Tour event, tying for first place before heading up to Canada this week to play in a Canadian Tour event, the Saskatchewan Open, at the Dakota Dunes Golf Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Rob tees it up today at 1:00. For tournament results in real time go to the tour website http://www.cantour.com/. Support Rob in his quest for the PGA Tour card!
