The PGA of America's Comin' to Town!

The PGA of America is coming to Boston!  The 94th PGA Annual Meeting will be held for the first time ever in Boston ~ the home region of outgoing PGA President Jim Remy.   (Jim btw is the General Manager/Director of Golf at the Okemo Valley Resort and Golf Course in Ludlow, Vt)  Remy will preside over his final official PGA event in his current role and will become PGA Honorary President at the conclusion of the Meeting.  Delegates from all 41 sections of the PGA will begin arriving in Boston early next week and the formal festivities at the Westin Copley Place run Thursday November 4 thru Saturday the 6th! This year's Meeting theme  “Your Future, Your PGA,” will focus on the changing trends in our society and examine ways that PGA Professionals can be best prepared to grow the golf industry.  There's also a changing of the guard among the national PGA officers ~ current PGA Vice President Allen Wronowski is expected to be elected the 37th PGA President by acclimation, while current PGA Secretary Ted Bishop is expected to become PGA Vice President by acclimation and a new PGA Secretary will be elected from amongst six candidates who've been nominated and seconded by their respective PGA sections.
